While the scoot chicks love to chat, we also love to share our favorite pics with our friends.
So instead of a traditional race recap, I will instead share my favorite photos from last weekend. If you wish to read my Princess Half Marathon weekend recap on my work blog, CLICK HERE.
We arrived at Animal Kingdom Lodge on Thursday and each “Princess” was presented with a rose. Well played, Disney. I loved this special treatment!
We celebrated our first night with a dinner at the California Grill atop the Contemporary. Here we watched fireworks over the Magic Kingdom and enjoyed an incredible meal! We were also a obsessed with the wine coolers.
LOTS of Rapunzels! From left, me, Brooke, Sara and Heather. And yes, we did plan to all dress as the same character for the Enchanted 10K. Heather made the two matching tops, and they were so comfortable to run in! Thank you Heather! All four of us participated in the inaugural Glass Slipper Challenge, which is a 10K on Saturday and a half-marathon one day later.
Post-10K with friends Tara and Kelly.
On Saturday, I worked at the expo with the Sparkle Athletic ladies. Here I am withย Kelly as we take a 3-second break from all the sales at their popular booth!
Heather made our fantastic costumes. We’re Ariel’s sisters Aquata and Attina!
Soon enough, it was time to run the half-marathon. We snapped a few shots before the race at the starting line before the fireworks started us off on our 13.1-mile journey.
With Elise (in pink), Kelly (in blue) and Carrie (in green) aka Sleeping Beauty’s fairies at the start. And yes, they wore those hats the entire race.
Those sparkle fairies sure are fast! I hung with them for the first mile, then decided to run a much slower race. This was my parting shot of them. Great job ladies!
This foggy moment near mile 3 was one of my favorite images from the course.
Selfie by Cinderella’s Castle. I’m still laughing at this one. The crowd behind me was so motivating and encouraging. Hundreds cheered and whooped as I jumped into the air and ran off. It was among of my favorite moments from the race.
Hanging with Princess Tiana mid-race
Watching Mickey cheer several Princesses at the finish was pretty cool.
Selfie with my girl Kristin!
Had an incredible time eating my way around EPCOT with the wonderful Jillian! Starbucks and cronuts, then German Pretzels and Pilsner? Yes please!
We ended my final night watching Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios. All I can say is WOW!
And of course, here’s the parting shot of all my girly medals, including my pink Coast to Coast medal, which is awarded upon completion of the Tinker Bell and Princess half marathons.
I hope you all had an equally magical weekend!
Tell me about your race adventures! What was your favorite moment from the course(s)? Which was your favorite Princess race?
Love that pic of you at the race start!
thanks darling! ๐

Looks like a great time! Can’t wait to do the same in 2015! ๐ Also, I’m sharing your medals pic with my running group for added motivation for 2015! ๐
~Lisa
Thanks Lisa! It’s a fantastic time and I’m sure you will love it in 2015 ๐ And yes, please do share the pic with your running group, feel free to share this post and my other recap with them as well!

Will do! None of the ladies in my group have run a race in Disney before, besides me. I can’t wait to see them with their medals! ๐
Fantastic! Disney bling can definitely be a great motivator! ๐
My Dumbo Double Dare medals is what started them up on this goal in the first place! ๐ Three cheers for bling and congrats on your races.
Thank you! Congrats to you too! (and Dumbo is a pretty sweet medal!) What’s your next race?
Thanks! It was a great weekend that I wish I could do again and again…where is a lotto win!?!
I’m running the Toronto Yonge Street 10K with a friend in April (Canada’s fastest 10K as it is all slightly downhill) and the Fargo Half Marathon (it’s my favourite non-Disney race) in May. Yourself?
Next up for me is the RnRUSA in DC in mid-March, followed by a local (hilly) 15K!
And yes, I totally need a money tree!
Wicked! Good luck! ๐ On the races and finding a money tree! ๐
I am so not creative with costumes, I am just blown away everytime I see people’s disney race photos! maybe that’s why I haven’t done one yet, I’d be the weirdo in black running shorts!
Disney runners this weekend blew me away with their costumes! It’s so impressive. On my first Disney race, I just wore Belle’s colors and that worked fine for me. I definitely didn’t feel like I was lacking without a tutu!
Cute pictures! Congrats on earning your coast to coast!
Thanks Meranda! ๐
Congratulations! It looks like a LOT of fun and this makes me happy I signed up for Wine & Dine in November!
Thank you Nicole! It was a blast and you will really enjoy W&D! It’s followed by a fabulous party in the park!!
Haha love the castle selfie! I totally didn’t think about a selfie and had some girl take one of me, but it turned out blurry ๐ oh well!
Thanks Kristen! It was a spur of the moment pic, and the whole crowd behind me cheered! I have a few blurry castle pics from previous races too, if it helps! Next time!
Congratulations! I loved the castle, obviously, and i only stopped for the footmen with the glass slipper. Honestly, I think I was so in the zone that I missed out/forget much of the course. OOPS!
Congrats to you as well! ๐ Being in the zone is definitely not a bad thing! Example: I didn’t even see the footmen with the glass slipper. I was definitely in my “move it or lose it” mentality on that part of the course. Was this your first Princess race?
